A '55 RESTORATION UPDATE

From November 2009 after the dash was painted and all the new trim and knobs put on:

The trunk with all that primer:

I went up to Chimayo yesterday and he's the inside of the trunk painted the pure bright white it will be:

This is the inside of the trunk lid (if you couldn't figure that out!):

...and yours truly,

I was told that if the weather is calm on Tuesday and Wednesday, the rest will get painted. We are going with the true Bel Air two-tone with white above the trim (trunk and top) and turquoise below. The interior will be turquoise, too. We've gotten the interior already; it's made from the original style fabric, carpet and headliner. I'll post pictures of the seats that have been completed soon.

Lookin' good! I love the dashboard...all those pretty knobs and Chevrolet symbols. I'm looking forward to cruising Central Avenue in it.

Can't wait to see it finished. You'll have to bring it out to Escondido for Friday Night Crusin' Grand.
